2019 VSN Trophy Finals

Luciano C became the winner of the 2019 VSN Trophy Finals for 3-year olds held in Kootwijkerbroek, The Netherlands, on Monday 23 December 2019.

The VSN Trophy Finals is a dressage talent spotting competition for 3-year olds with a qualification round and a finals. A group of 27 horses competed in the Finals on 27 December 2018. The judging panel this year included Jeroen and Emmelie Scholtens with Scholtens also test riding the four highest scoring horses of the first round.

The winner of the 2019 trophy is Luciano C, who is originally named Leranyke P (by El Capone x Sir Oldenburg). Presented by Petra Vlaar, the chestnut scored 8.5 for walk, 9 for trot and canter, 8.5 for ridebaility and 9.5 for general impression. Scholtens rewarded the horse with a 10 for rideability. It brought Luciano C's total to 54.5 points.

The runner-up was Femke de Laat on the chestnut German bred Vigo (by Vitalis x Sir Donnerhall). He earned 7.5 for walk, 9 for trot and canter, 8.5 for rideability and general impression and also a 10 from Scholtens (total 52.50 points.

Dinja van Liere and the dark bay KWPN Labarron (For Romance x Tuschinski) landed third place with 51.5 points. He got 8.5 for walk and trot, 8 for canter, 8.5 for rideability and general impression and 9.5 from Scholtens.

Finally Ladiva (by Dante Weltino x Rohdiamant) completed the top four on 51.0 points with 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot and canter, 9 for rideability and 8.5 for general impression. Scholtens gave her 8.5.
