Former German Grand Prix team rider Matthias Rath has headed the show management of the CDI Frankfurt for the first time in his career.

Changes in Show Management

The CDI Frankfurt is organized by the Frankfurter Riding stable Schwarz-Gelb in Kronberg, but essentially supported by Ann-Kathrin Linsenhoff.

The show in Frankfurt was founded in 1955 Josef Neckermann and organized by the Frankfurt riding club. In 1991 SKU Veranstaltungs GmbH managed the show, then Paul Schockemöhle took over, but in 2002 it was Kaspar Funke of Escon Marketing who led the event.

However, in 2012 Linsenhoff requested Paul Schockemöhle's Marketing Team to return and handle the event.

For 2019 a new change took place at the top of the organisation. Linsenhoff's own company "Oceanside GmbH" took over the show management with Matthias Rath at the helm.

The FEI status of the event has changed over the years.

In 2011 it was a CDI-W World Cup Qualifier, in 2012 there were only national dressage classes and as of 2012 it has been a CDI with 4* status and most recently 5* status.

Between 2005 and 2011 Frankfurt hosted the "Young Riders World Cup" with a select group of the best young riders invited from all over the world (overseas YR were sponsored by Linsenhoff to come).

Oceanside

In April 2019, Paul Schockemöhle Marketing (PST) was thanked for its services and Oceanside took over the management of the 2019 CDI Frankfurt.

The Frankfurt press office underlined that the change in direction was in mutual agreement.

"Matthias Alexander Rath is show director. Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff and Klaus Martin Rath decided to give more responsibility to their children to guarantee a better change from one to the next generation," said a Frankfurt spokesperson. "The family uses every chance to underline the exceptional work of PST. There is no stress and no conflict."
