The 5-year old KWPN licensed stallion Kilimanjaro has been sold to Australian young rider Jessica Dertell.
Kilimanjaro is by Bordeaux out of the elite preferent and internationally competed small tour mare Darabel (by Westpoint x Don Schufro).
The chestnut stallion was bred and owned by Willeke Bos.
He was licensed at the 2018 KWPN Stallion Licensing and did his performance test in the spring of that year, earning 83,5 points to finish third.
Under Vai Bruntink, the chestnut competed in the national 4-year old challenge which was run as a pilot project at the 2019 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Ermelo. The stallion finished 26th and last in the preliminary round and landed 12th place in the consolation finals.
Bruntink also rode the stallion in the 2019-2020 KWPN Stallion Competition circuit qualifiers and was 9th out of 10 in the finals in Den Bosch at the beginning of February 2020.
The stallion has been purchased by Doyle and Kate Dertell of Future Farm Arabians, whose daughter Jessica is currently competing at international junior and young riders level. Half a year ago the family already bought the small tour Eskara de Jeu in the North of Holland and now returned to The Netherlands for their next acquisition.
