British double Olympian Emile Faurie has joined the team of Helgtrand Dressage as its U.K. based Grand Prix trainer and sales agent.
Faurie lives at Heath Farm in Oxfordshire, located an hour from London.
Emile has competed at two Olympic Games (1992, 2000), five European Championships (1993, 1997, 2003, 2011, 2017) at which he won team gold, silver and bronze as well as individual bronze, and at three World Equestrian Games (1998, 2002, 2018). He trained and competed no less than six different horses at these Championships. He also served as Finnish senior team trainer from 2013 till 2017.
"Through the years we have seen an increasing request from the English market which has led us to this new corporation with one of Great Britain’s finest dressage riders. It is a privilege to welcome Emile to our team," said Andreas Helgstrand, who is very pleased to offer this exceptional service to the English clientele.
Emile's most recent successes include riding on the British team at the 2017 European Dressage Championships on Lollipop, now ridden by Marianne Helgstrand, and he won team bronze at the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon aboard Dono di Maggio, who is now owned by his student, Greek Theodora Livanos.
Emile has worked as a rider at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen, Germany, in the 1980s, and picked up those ties in 2017 when he returned to Hof Kasselmann as a visiting trainer supervisor and sales manager until the spring of 2019.
"There can be no doubt about the quality that Emile represents. He has led riders to numerous victories, judged competitions at a high level, and through his achievements has built up a broad network which Helgstrand can benefit from. We are therefore really pleased that Emile trains several of our horses and presents these at the English market," Andreas added.
As a competition rider Emile has little left to prove and now wants to devote more time to the essence of his passion, producing horses from young horse level to Grand Prix as well as coaching students.

Faurie currently has four Helgstrand horses in training and on offer at Heath Farm. Three are 6-year olds with outstanding potential for the future and one is a 7-year old Totilas offspring schooling the beginnings of Grand Prix.
"I decided to join Andreas and his team because of his integrity as a person and his drive to ensure every rider that buys a horse from Helgstrand Dressage gets the right and most suitable one for them," Emile added.
