Francois, Best Seller of the 2020 Mariakolnok Online Auction of Elite Riding Horses

The 6-year old Hanoverian stallion Francois became the best seller of the 2020 Mariakalnok Online Auction of Elite riding horses, which concluded on 31 May 2020.

Hungarian Grand Prix rider Aniko Losonczy and her team at Mariakalnok dressage center hosted the first ever online auction of dressage horses in Hungary.

The highest sales price was achieved by Francois (by Franziskus x Brentano II x Weltmeyer). This licensed breeding stallion, who was the double, consecutive Hungarian Young Horse Champion in 2018 and 2019, sold for 97,500 euro.

The second most expensive horse was Favourite Dream. The 10-year old Oldenburg gelding by Furstenball x Diamond Hit sold to Germany for 75,000 euro.

For the internationally competed FEI Dressage Pony Macciato (The Braes My Mobility x Bogenschutze), the bidding stopped at 73,500 euro. For the small tour horse French Kiss (by Fidertanz x Donnerhall) the bidding ended on 60,000 euro.

The small tour level trained and competed Da Dalto, a 12-year old Hanoverian by Damsey x His Highness, moves to Luxembourg for 53,000 euro.

A German client purchased the young stallions Fürsten Hit (by Furstenball x Sandro Hit) and Vivaball (by Vivaldi x Furstenball) for 25,500 and 28,500 euro.

Revue (by Daily Deal x Ruiz Soler) will move to Slovakia, Emira remains in Hungary and Antinoro found a new owner in the United Kingdom.

"We were extremely pleased with the results considering this was the first time we held an online auction," said Losonczy. "Every start is difficult, especially now in corona times. We feel that this has put us on the map and clients trust us to buy. There was many people, who were interested, but they could not come to try. They wait for the borders to reopen and will come to try out the sales horses we have permanently in our dressage stable at Mariakalnok."
