Swedish Grand Prix rider and young horse trainer Jeanna Hogberg has signed on as a rider for Team Helgstrand in Denmark.

The 37-year old rider and mom of twins ran her own business in Sweden. After being the double Swedish pony champion, she made her international show debut as a senior in 2011. Hogberg is a regular face at the World Young Horse Championships and her career highlight, so far, was in 2014 when she represented Sweden at the World Equestrian Games in Caen, France, on Darcia VH.

In 2020 her seasoned Grand Prix rider Duendecillo P moved on to a Finnish junior rider while Jeanna took her home trained Fiorucci HT up to Grand Prix level.

"It is no secret that I have been asking Jeanna a long time to think about working for Helgstrand," Andreas explained. "She is a versatile rider with experience training horses at all levels."

Hogberg and her family will be moving from Sweden to the Vodskov area in Jutland, Denmark, where Helgstrand is based.

"I have my family standing behind this decision and we hope that we will thrive here in Denmark," said Hogberg. "I have never felt better being self-employed with fantastic horse owners, co-owners, and students, but sometimes you have to take a chance to go even further. It is my ambition to become even better, that has led me to say yes to this fantastic opportunity from Andreas."
