The 5-year old Embrace and the 6-year old Estero became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the national dressage competition at Hof Bettenrode on 11 July 2020.
Fourteen 5-year olds competed in the L-level dressage horse test which was judged by Peter Olsson, Michael Settertobulte and Harry Lorenz. Charlotte Tollhopf and Gut Neuenhof's Westfalian mare Embrace (by Escolar x Levantos) aced the clas with 8.5. The pair earned 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 9 for canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression. Swedish Antonia Öhrsam and Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff's DSP stallion Zapato (by Zalando x Don Diamond) were second with 8.4. The dark bay stallion got 8.5 for walk and canter, 8 for trot and 8.5 for submission and general impression. Tessa Frank and Nicolai Bose's Hanoverian gelding Daktari K (by Danciano x Belissimo M) were third with 8.3.. The liver chestnut got 9 for walk, 8 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
In the M-level dressage horse test for 6-year olds, 13 pairs battled it out. Beatrice Buchwald and Oemer Boya van Baaren's Westfalian gelding Estero (by Escolar x Desperados) won the class with a strong 8.8 total score. The chestnut gelding got 8.5 for walk, 9 for trot and canter, 8.5 for submission and 9 for general impression from judges Ralph Schmidt, Carsten Munk and Jürgen Böckmann. Kira Goerens-Ripphoff and Sharon Harnik's Westfalian stallion Chuck Bass (by Cennin x Rosentau) were the runners-up with 8.5 points. The black stallion got 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 9 for canter and 8.5 for submission and general impression. Spanish Ivan Nieto Sanchez and Equus Invrest's Hanoverian stallion D'Alessandro (by Don Frederic x Stedinger) were third with 8.4.. This bay got 8.5 for walk, 9 for trot, 8 for canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression.
