Sarah Lockman of Summit Farm has qualified 4 horses for Dressage Young Horse Championships at Lamplight Equestrian Center in Chicago, from the 4 Year Old to Grand Prix divisions. She will also coach one of her clients, Jennifer Wetterau riding Hartog, in the Developing PSG.
Summit Farm’s First Apple, Sarah’s 2019 Pan American Games mount, has ranked ranked #7 in the Grand Prix National after the pair debuted Grand Prix together at the Global Dressage Festival in 2020.
Summit Farm’s exciting 4 year old, Lyamora, is ranked #1 in her division with Lockman, and scored a 9.4 in the USEF Four Year Old Test at the 2020 Global Dressage Festival and scored an 81% and a 80.8% in Training Level Tests 2 and 3 at the San Diego Summer Show in July, 2020.
Sarah also qualified Summit Farm’s Balia and her own Dehavilland in the Developing PSG, ranked #5 and #6 respectively. Balia scored a 73.7% and Dehavilland a 73.5% in the Developing PSG at Global Dressage Festival in 2020. Lockman has self-trained Dehavilland from a yearling, and Balia from the age of 5.
Lockman joined the Summit Farm team in 2018, pioneering the imported dressage sales program and has been developing a string of top competition horses. Sarah took Summit Farm’s First Apple to represent Team USA at the 2019 Pan American Games, winning an individual gold and team silver. Tragically, the founder of Summit Farm, Gerry Ibanez, passed away in November 2019. Sarah continues to ride in his memory with the support of the Ibanez family as her sponsor.
