FEI Dressage pony Twenty Two, who competed at no less than five European Pony Championships with two different riders, has been sold to Swedish pony rider Annie Spångberg.
Twenty Two is a 15-year old German Riding pony stallion by Durello Top x Mister Man. He is bred by Dominik Gronet.
The bay stallion made his international show debut to fame under Polish rider Zuzanna Haber at the 2012 CDI Radzionkow in Poland and became one of Poland's team anchors in three European Pony Championships.
Haber and Twenty Two first went to the 2012 European Pony Championships in Fontainebleau (FRA), where they were 46th in the individual test. At the 2013 Europeans in Arezzo (ITA), they were 50th in the individual test and at the 2014 Europeans in Millstreet (IRL), they placed 47th.
The new duo became a stellar pair for Sweden. They won the Swedish Pony Dressage Championships two years in a row. They represented Sweden at the 2018 European Pony Championships in Bishop Burton (GBR), where they were 16th in the Kur to Music. At the 2019 Europeans in Strzegom (POL), they finished ninth in the Kur to Music Finals
The Sandgren family has now sold the pony to the 14-year old Swedish Annie Spångberg.
"We are so happy to say that he’s going to stay in Sweden with a very talented rider," said the Sandgren family. "My will be able to stay in the team and help her. He is by far the most successful pony in Sweden right now so Annie is of course a really happy girl."
My Sandgren will continue as a junior rider aboard Hampuz M.Ge, a 14-year old Swedish warmblood stallion by Sandreo x Don Schufro x Master.
