First Australian Horses Selected for 2020 World Young Horse Championships

The Australian dressage selectors have selected the combinations from the first round of applications to represent Australia at the 2020 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses.

This year's World Championships occur in Verden (GER) and were postponed from August to an indoor event on 9 - 13 December 2020.

The first round combinations selected are the following:

5-year olds:

  • Simone Pearce - Dancier Gold, Gestut Sprehe's 5-year old Hanoverian stallion by Dancier x Weltmeyer
  • Simone Pearce-  Diamond First, Gestut Sprehe's 5-year old Oldenburg stallion by Diamond Hit x Furst Heinrich

6-year olds:

  • Warwick McLean - F-Type OLD, Johanne von Danwitz' 6-year old Oldenburg gelding by Franziskus x Chico’s Boy
  • Anna-Catherine Schöffner - PBM Cosmopolitan, Jan Smith's 6-year old German Sport Horse by Concetto x Larimar

Second Round Applications sent into the Australian equestrian federation by October 19th will be considered to fill the remaining team placings.
