The Austrian Equestrian Federation has selected the combinations that will represent Austria at the 2020 World Championships for young dressage horses in Verden, Germany.

After a highly controversial selection trial behind closed doors at Gutenhof in 2019, which led to an appeal, the Austrian Federation now decided to do the team selection via an official competition at Magna Racino equestrian centre in Ebreichsdorf on 24 - 25 October 2020.

This year Austria will be sending two 5-year olds and two 7-year olds. No 6-year olds were selected.

5-year olds

  • Giulia Schwab - Fabergé EP (AWO, by For Romance I x Literat) - Breeder: Giulia Schwab
  • Martin Hauptmann - Dark Night Rises (AWO, by De Niro x Romanov) - Breeder: Bettina & Jürgen Frantsits

7-year olds

  • Peter Gmoser - Don Jon OLD (OLD, by Don Juan de Hus x Benneton Dream) - Breeder: Simone Tuchen
  • Bettina Kendlbacher  - Don Alfredo (AWO, by Destano x His Highness) - Breeder: Alfred Leser
