The 8-year old Oldenburg mare Florine OLD has been purchased by the Von Wulffen family as a Young Riders horse for daughter Elisabeth.

Florine OLD is a 2012 born mare by Foundation out of Lola (by Lauries Crusador xx x Grand Cru x Wonderful). She is bred by Klaus Gustenberg.

Careful Training

The chestnut mare was first competed as a 4-year old by Kerstin Busse after which owner Kirsten Grawunder took over in 2017.

In 2018 Maike Mende took over the ride for the owner and took Florine from L-level to developing Prix St Georges. The mare was carefully developed and competed up the levels, even though she did not compete in any national championship.

In 2019 she was named second reserve for the German team for the 2019 World Young horse Championships in Ermelo. The pair also became reserve Young Riders Champions at the 2019 Westfalian Regionals in Greven.

Sold to Denmark

In 2020 Mende and Florine competed in the small tour at the K+K Cup in Munster, after which the mare sold to horse dealer Andreas Helgstrand after being tipped by Oliver Oelrich.

The former German youth team trainer retained the horse in his stable and gave the ride to his assistant rider Florine Kienbaum, who competed her first in a developing PSG horse class at a local show in Nottuln in May, placing 9th with a 7.3, and once more in an Intermediaire A test at the local event in Troisdorf, where the pair retired.

Florine has now been sold to as a Young Riders horse with U25 promise for Elisabeth von Wulffen.

The Munich based Von Wulffen family recently relocated to the Munsterland in Germany so daughter Elisabeth and pony rider Paulina can fully focus sport alongside their school duties.

They moved into a stable block at Swiss horse dealer Daniel Ramseier's Sportpferde Im Brook in Ibbenbüren, Germany, where they are joined by their trainer Bianca Nowag, who ended her renting stalls at the DOKR headquarters in Warendorf.

Aboard Dancing World the 19-year old Elisabeth von Wulffen finished 11th at the 2020 German Young Riders Championships last September.
