Desperado, Glamourdale, Zaire-E Nominated for 2020 KWPN Horse of the Year Title

Dressage horses Desperado, Glamourdale, Zaire-E are three out of six horses nominated for 2020 KWPN Horse of the Year title. 

The KWPN Horse of the Year title is awarded to the Dutch warmblood horse that stood out in sport.

Based on popular vote, the winner is celebrated at the annual KWPN Stallion Licensing. 

Desperado (by Vivaldi x Havidoff) stood out by winning bronze at the 2020 Dutch Dressage Championships under Emmelie Scholtens. At the 2020 CDI-W Amsterdam they were third with 77.87% in the Grand Prix. 

Zaire-E (by Son de Niro x Jazz) has achieved top scores under German Jessica von Bredow-Werndl. The 16-year old mare scored 85.355% at the CDI Aarhus and won the big tour at the CDI-W Mariakalnok. Also in Hagen they finished second twice. 

Glamourdale (by Lord Leatherdale x Negro) made his national Grand Prix debut under Charlotte Fry, scoring almost 78%. He is expected to make his international debut next year. 

The HOYS title is decided by public vote, which starts on 1 December and runs until 31 December.
