Anna Zibrandtsen's Under 25 Grand Prix horse Rentino has been sold to Sweden as a schoolmaster for sisters Matilda and Ellen Stymne.

Rentino is a 16-year old Hanoverian by Rosario out of Diva (by De Niro x Walt Disney x Akzent I). He is bred by Reiner Röbke.

Move to Sweden

Purchased by the Bergstrom-Kallstrom family as a foal at the Hanoverian auction, the black colt moved to Sweden and became co-owned by Kan Brink as a youngster.

He was first competed in 2008 as a 4-year old by Sara Henriette Bergstrom-Kallstrom.

That same year Rentino was licensed for the Swedish warmblood society and did his performance test, scoring 8 for walk, and 9 for trot and canter. He only bred one year in Sweden with 6 offspring registered born in 2009.

In 2009 Jan Brink took on the ride. In 2011 the pair finished 11th at the Swedish Championships for 7-year olds in Helsingborg. Between 2012 and 2013 Brink moved the stallion up from small tour to Grand Prix with a few competition starts.

Sold to Zibrandtsen

In 2014 Rentino sold to Zibrandtsen's yard Bregnerødgaard in Denmark. Anna, who has been a long-time student of Jan Brink, acquired him as her Under 25 mount to make the transition from Young Riders to Grand Prix.

The pair made its national show debut in Denmark in April 2014 and one month later did their first international at the CDI Kapellen in Belgium, where they won the Inter II.

Anna competed the black just three seasons, from 2014 till 2016. They represented Sweden at the inaugural European Under 25 Championships in Hagen in 2016, where they were 8th in the Kur to Music finals. Their last show together was the 2016 CDI Falsterbo, where they retired in the Inter II.

In 2017 Rentino was briefly ridden by Diederik van Silfhout, who competed the stallion at the Dutch Dressage Championships.

Then the horse disappeared from the show scene for two years, to return to the show ring in 2019 under Portuguese Frederico Mexia de Almeida, who worked at Helgstrand's sales yard. The pair competed in five national shows in Denmark that season.

Back to Sweden

Rentino has now been sold as a schoolmaster for young rider Matilda and junior rider Ellen Stymne.

Ellen has previously competed at national FEI pony level with the 10-year old Westfalian pony Tanzbar T (by Timberland x Golden Dancer).

Matilda has been riding the KWPN bred Grand Prix horse Crescendo (by Tolando x Cocktail), which her family bought from Katja Gevers in 2019.

"It would be super fun to compete internationally, but first we have to get to know each other and do some national shows," Matilda told Eurodressage about her brand new partnership with Rentino.
