The Westfalian licensed stallion Like A Diamond has been sold to the Swiss based Belgian horse owner Sophie Fabri.
Like a Diamond is a 2010 born stallion by Laureus out of La Vita (by Lord Sinclair x Coriander). He was bred by Ludger Budde.
Licensed Stallion
He was presented at the 2012 Westfalian Stallion Licensing by Swiss owner Barbara Huwiler and named Champion of the Licensing. He sold at auction for 240,000 euro to Massener Heide. Like a Diamond is approved for the Oldenbrug and Sachsen-Thuringia breed society.
The bay did his 30-day stallion performance test in Munster-Handorf in October 2013 and scored 8.04 for dressage and 7.45 for show jumping, finishing on a total of 7.92 points.
Although a licensing champion, Like a Diamond was never truly popular with the breeders. He has no licensed sons and only one daughter is state premium mare. The stallion has 15 offspring registered for sport with the German Equestrian Federation. He is a WFFS carrier.
Grand Prix
Marion Wiebusch trained and competed the stallion. They made their show debut in 2013 in the riding horse tests and moved up the levels. In 2015 the pair rode in two Bundeschampionate qualifiers but never made it to Warendorf, something expected of a top licensed stallion.
In 2018 they began showing at small tour level and in 2019 they moved up to Grand Prix level. Their last show together was in July 2020 in Datteln at small tour level.
Sold to Switzerland
In the summer of 2019 Thomas and Irene Wiese's equestrian centre Massener Heide in Unna-Massen, Germany, was put up for sale and several of their horses sold.
Hof Kasselmann acquired Like a Diamond and have now resold him to the Swiss based Belgian Sophie Fabri.
Fabri is the owner of the young Oldenburg stallion and 2019 Bundeschampionate Destello OLD, ridden by Beatrice Hoffrogge-Buchwald.
