Juan Matute Guimon's former young horse Limoncello has been sold to his former sponsor, Yeguada de Ymas of the Bacariza Danguillecourt family.

Limoncello is an 8-year old Hanoverian by Lemony's Nicket out of state premium mare Furstin (by Friedenstraum x Pit I x Gottward). He is bred by Ludwig Fischer at Gestut Greim.

Licensed Stallion

The black stallion was licensed at the 2015 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden and sold at auction to Spanish Olympian Juan Matute Azpitarte. The horse did not do his stallion performance test.

He was shipped to Spain first, where he was trained by Juan Francisco Fernandez Muñoz. He made his show debut in May 2017 in the 4-year old classes at the CDN Segovia.

Later that year the horse was sent to Germany and competed by his new rider Ann-Kathrin Wilting first at the regional show in Munster. She showed the black through 2018 up to L level.

In the summer of 2018 Nico Kapche took over the ride, after which the horse moved back to Spain.

Matute

Limoncello became Juan Matute Guimon's horse and the pair made a flying start with a show debut in Spain in October 2018 winning the 5-year old young horse test at the CDN Las Cadenas.

Soon after they competed in the 5-year old division at the 2018 Spanish Young Horse Championships, but were eliminated when the rider went twice off course.

In 2019 the duo made their international debut, winning the 6-year old young horse classes at the 2019 CDI Segovia with scores of 84.00 and 82.00 %. A long break from showing followed, only to return to the arena in March 2020 in the 7-year old division at the CDN Las Cadenas.

In the spring of 2020 Limoncello was sent to Benjamin and Jessica Werndl in Aubenhausen, Germany to be sold. He was scouted by the Bacariza Danguillecourt family of Yeguada de Ymas.

They acquired the horse in the autumn of 2020 and have renamed him Lionnel Ymas.

The 19-year old Natalia Bacariza Danguillecourt has been a long-time Spanish junior and young rider team member and anchor. With a winter base in Wellington, Florida, she won the 2018, 2019 and 2020 Florida International Youth Dressage Championships.  She is the 2018 and 2019 Spanish Junior Champion, but did not undertake the journey from Germany to Spain for the 2020 Spanish Nationals due to corona travel restrictions. At the 2020 European Young Riders Championships she placed seventh in the Kur to Music finals aboard Dhannie (by Don Crusador).

Since 2020 she has been training with Katherine Bateson-Chandler and Ton de Ridder.
