Grand Prix rider Lisbet Seierskilde will be assisting Dennis Fisker in his role as Danish pony team trainer.

A year ago Danish junior and young rider team trainer Dennis Fisker took over the role as pony team trainer from Jette Nevermann.

However, Fisker's role has been ever expanding, taking the Under 25 riders under his wings as well as a collaborating with Danish Grand prix team trainer Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein on the seniors.

The Danish equestrian federation has now decided that as of 2021 its technical dressage staff will be reinforced with Lisbet Seierskilde for the pony division.

Kimi Nielsen, the Technical Director for dressage with the Danish Federation, is pleased to welcome Seierskilde on the staff.

"Pony dressage is the whole basis for further talent development towards  junior and young riders' groups. This is where riders are first introduced to squads and national teams," Nielsen explained. "That is why it is super important to have the right sparring partner, support and backing for both riders, parents and daily coaches. We are sure that Lisbet can contribute in terms of her own background."

Seierskilde comes through the system herself, having represented Denmark as a pony, junior, young rider and senior Grand Prix rider. She competed at the 2012  Olympic Games in London with Jonstrupgaardens Raneur. She retired her number one horse in 2016 and returned to the international arena in the autumn of 2018 with the home bred Jonstrupgaardens Cocio (by Desperados x Camelot). Her last CDI was in June 2019 at small tour level. Lisbet runs her own dressage trainer and breeding facility in Denmark.

"I am really passionate about talent development and for me it is a dream job to be part of the set-up that helps create the riders of the future," said Lisbet. "In addition, I look forward to working closely with Dennis both professionally and personally."
