Stable Unikornis is pulling out all the stops with its CDI 4* and CDI-W World Cup qualifier on 16 - 20 June 2021. It will be the first CDI 4* in conjunction with a World Cup qualifier to be held in Budapest, Hungary.
Located in the quiet town of Pilisjaszfalu, just 28 kilometers north of Budapest, Stable Unikornis has developed itself into the epicentre of Hungarian dressage sport.
Host to the 2020 European Youth Championships and numerous international and national dressage competitions, the venue boast impeccable arenas with top footing, spacious stabling, a strong ground jury of judges, and entertainment and atmosphere for all involved.
Continuous Improvements
The 2021 CDI 4* Budapest will be no different as show director Arie Yom-Tov continues to build on past experience and improve his facility and competitions, step by step.
Using the direct feedback from the riders as inspiration, the Hungarian dressage-loving entrepreneur has been transforming his shows into unmissable events.
The upcoming CDI on 16 - 20 June 2021 boasts an action packed programme with a 4* Grand Prix, a World Cup qualifier, a small tour division, and full classes from young horse level, through Children and ponies up to Under 25.
Esteemed Ground Jury
A trigger for riders to choose a certain competition above all others on the FEI calendar is the ground jury.
The 2021 CDI Budapest has been able to attract a stellar panel of experienced judges with no less than seven 5* judges on the roster: Christof Umbach, Elke Ebert, Leif Tornblad, Maria Colliander, Peter Holler, Sissy Max-Theuer, and Thomas Lang.
They will be joined by 4* judges Freddy Leyman, Monique Peutz, Yuri Romanov, and Carlos Lucas Lopez.
Bring on the Music
For the musical support of the freestyles to be ridden, and especially the World Cup qualifier, the CDI Budapest has brought on board German sound director Markus Hinzke.
Equestrian sport is a unique, athletic discipline, but only with the right sound does it become an unforgettable experience. Since 1992 Hinzke has been dealing with professional background music for equestrian events. The German sound technician has provided the musical engineering for international horse competitions, auctions, and breeding events. However his expertise was truly measured by the fact that he sound mixed the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and will return on the job in Tokyo.
The CDI Budapest will provide the best sound engineering for a total freestyle experience in the youth categories up to Grand Prix.
