It was a double whammy for professional dressage rider Lisa Horler in the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the Illertissen dressage fresival on 5 - 6 June 2021. She won the 5-year old division with Define Dynamic and the 6-year old class with Danny Cool.
5-YO: Define Dynamic
Thirteen combinations competed in the 5-year old division, which was judged by Cornelia Albrecht, Michael Hubrich and Wolfgang Schierloh.
Lisa Horler steered Margit Esiner's DSP stallion Define Dynamic (by Danciano de Malleret x Samarant) to a high score of 8.8 for the win. The black stallion got 8 for walk, 9.5 for trot, 9 for canter, 8.5 for submission and 9 for general impression.
Austrian Christian Lanterdinger and Jutta Steidl's Hanoverian gelding Bassantino (by Benicio x Furst Romancier) tied in second place on 8.0 with Katrin Burger aboard Edwin Schuster's DSP gelding Bocaccio (by Bon Coeur x Carpaccio). The liver chestnut Bassantino received 7.5 for walk, 8 for trot, 8.5 for canter and 8 for submission and general impression, while Bocaccio got identical marks for all five components.
6-YO: Danny Cool
Lisa Horler also bested the field of 12 in the 6-year old division, this time piloting Margit Esiner's DSP bred gelding Danny Cool (by Danciano de Malleret x Sandro Hit). They achieved the highest qualification score of the season, so far, 9.4. The dark bay gelding got 9 for walk and canter, 9.5 for trot, 10 for submission and 9.5 for general impression.
Austrian Heinz-Jörg Wächter and Eberhard Maurer's Oldenburg stallion Furst Finest (by Finest x Hotline) followed in second place with a strong 8.7 total score. The black stallion got 8.5 for walk, 9 for trot and canter, 8 for submission and 9 for general impression.
