The French Equestrian Federation has nominated eight riders and nine horses to the short list from which the French team will be picked for the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The Olympics are less than one month away, starting with the Grand Prix on 23 July 2021 and concluding with the freestyle on 28 July 2021.
The FEI deadline for the nominative entries was on 21 June 2021. The definite teams and the (traveling) reserve has to be named by 5 July 2021. Horses will go into quarantine at the show grounds of the CDIO Aachen before flying to Japan.
The short listed French combinations are:
- Alexandre Ayache - Zo What
- Morgan Barbançon Mestre - Sir Donnerhall II OLD
- Maxime Collard - Cupido PB
- Isabelle Pinto - Hot Chocolat van de Kwaplas
- Jean-Philippe Siat - Lovesong
- Anne-Sophie Serre - Actuelle de Massa and Ultrablue de Massa
- Arnaud Serre - Vistoso de Massa
- Nicole Favereau - Ginsengue
The team will be picked by French team trainer Jean Bemelmans in agreement with the FFE Technical Dressage Staff
