The 5-year olds Furst Bayram and Fynch Hatton, and the 6-year old Venice Beach became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the 2021 Oldenburg Regional Championships in Rastede, Germany, on 21 - 15 July 2021.
5-YO: Furst Bayram and Fynch Hatton
For Frederic Wandres Rastede was more about securing that regional title than a ticket to Warendorf as the pair already bagged that one at the beginning of May in Redefin. Wandres and Hof Kasselmann's Oldenburg stallion by Furstenball x Sir Donnerhall scored the winning mark of 8.5 in Group I of the 5-year olds in Rastede, receiving 9 for trot, 8 for walk and 8.5 for canter, submission and general impression.
German young rider Jana Schrödter and Hof Kasselmann's Hanoverian gelding Vigazzo (by Vivaldi x Ragazzo) were the runners-up with 8.3 points, posting 9 for trot, 7 for walk, 9 for canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. David Taylor and Tai Trading's Westfalian stallion Aringer (by AC-DC x Ehrentusch) finished third with 8.2. The liver chestnut got 8.5 for trot, 8 for walk, canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression.
In Group 2 Leonie Richter and Andreas Helgstrand's Oldenburg stallion Fynch Hatton (by Formel Eins x Sir Donnerhall) topped the board with 8.4. The bay stallion got 9.5 for trot, 7 for walk, and 8.5 for canter, submission and general impression.
Lena Waldmann and Gestut Bonhomme's Oldenburg stallion Fidelity (by Fiderdance x Sandro Hit) were second on 8.3 points with a 7.5 for walk, and 8.5 for trot, canter, submission and general impression. Two combinations tied in third place with 8.1. points: Kira Wulferding on Gerrit Collin's Oldenburg gelding McQueen (by Morricone x San Amour) and Marita Pundsack on Patrick d'Eer's Oldenburg mare QC Dia Dante (by Dante Weltino x Don Schufro)
6-YO: Venice Beach
Janina Siemers and Konigshofer Heide's Oldenburg gelding Gucci (by Grey Flanell x Don Frederico) were in pursuit but placed second with 8.3 points. The bay gelding got 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot and canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
Eike Bewerungen and Heinz Ahler's Oldenburg gelding Bakarigold (by Belissimo M x Bretton Woods) finished on the bronze medal position with 8.2 points. The liver chestnut got 8 for walk, 9 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8 for general impression.
