Ludwigsburg press release -

For Frederic Wandres a childhood dream came true last Sunday, a start at the CHIO Aachen and on top of that victory in the Nations Cup: "Aachen was simply an amazing show. I have dreamt of being on a team photo in the prize-giving ceremony with Isabell Werth since I was a child."

He made that happen after two very strong performances in the CDIO5* on his top horse Duke of Britain. 2021 was Wandres' premiere year in Aachen and he made the most of it. In addition to Duke of Britain, he also competed in the CDI4* Tour with Bluetooth OLD and claimed victory in the Intermédiaire I for the WOTAX Prize on young horse Quizmaster. His good performance was rewarded with the PIAFF Prize of the Liselott Schindling Foundation, a special prize for the best dressage rider of the CHIO Aachen 2021.

Straight to Ludwigsburg

Those who know the likeable dressage rider also know that Wandres does not rest on his laurels for long. After a short breather at home at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen a.T.W., it's already on to the next show on Wednesday. The premiere of the first International Ludwigsburg Dressage Festival has a special meaning for Wandres, who originally comes from Kehl near Offenburg: "Of course I am looking forward to it, because this direction on the motorway also brings me closer to my roots. Ludwigsburg is already quite close to home!"

Wandres intends to be represented in Ludwigsburg with two horses. In the big tour he will ride the Oldenburger grey Hot Hit. The impressive Hotline son owned by Terry Lan (TWN) has already qualified for the Louisdor Prize Final in Frankfurt in December and won the World Cup Freestyle in Samorin (SVK) in August. With the only eight-year-old Hanoverian Harrods by Hochadel, he will compete in the so-called small tour on Thursday.

Action Packed Programme

The first International Ludwigsburg Dressage Festival will take place from 23 - 26 September on the grounds of Schloss Monrepos in Ludwigsburg. Highlights are the CDI4*, CDI1* and CDIU25 Tour as well as the qualification for the NÜRNBERGER BURG-POKAL, the final of the NÜRNBERGER BURG-POKAL of the Baden-Württemberg Juniors and the Pony Masters Baden Württemberg. A DSP Foal Auction is also on the programme on Saturday evening. Visitors can look forward to a small but exquisite lifestyle and equestrian exhibition against the magnificent backdrop of the historic Seeschloss. Entry is free on all days, the 3G rule applies.
