Fairplay H, a triple World Young Championship participant, will continue his sport under German young rider Laura-Franziska Riegel. Linda Knoll announced the rider change on social media.

Fairplay H is a 13-year old Baden Wurttemberger bred gelding by Fürst Hohenstein out of Dakota (by Disco Tänzer). He is bred by Werner Häfner.

Ines Knoll

He arrived at Ines Knoll's yard as a 3.5 year old where he was first trained and competed by her, before selling to Linda Knoll in the autumn of that year. Despite the same last name, there is no blood bond between Linda and Ines.

Ines continued to produce the grey Fairplay H and competed him at the 2014, 2015 and 2016 World Young Horse Championships. He finished 15th as a 5 and 6-year old and 4th as a 7-year old. At the Bundeschampionate he was fifth in 2014 and twelfth in 2015.

Ines showed the horse in its first S-level classes, before Linda made her international show debut in Darmstadt in September 2017. In 2018 they did not show internationally, but returned in 2019 at one CDI in Crozet. Another international break followed and in 2021 they did three CDI's. In Kronberg in June they won the Prix St Georges and Intermediaire I, at the CDI Ludwigsburg they were second and third, and at their last international as a pair, they won the PSG and Inter I in Le Mans.

On national level they booked 53 victories at small tour level.

Laura Franziska Riegel

Fairplay H will now continue under the 19-year old Laura-Franziska Riegel who aims to make her young rider debut on him.

"We had a great time together. He always battled for it and was reliability impersonated on four legs," said Linda Knoll. "I hope that Laura, who tried him out multiple times and was enthused by him, will be successful in the Young Riders tour."

Riegel premiered at international shows as a pony rider in 2017 aboard Equestricons Lord Champion, Cinderella M and Valentino. In 2018 she made the transition to junior level on Zaffier (by Painted Black x Pion) and in 2021 she rode Dior (by De Niro x Florencio) at three CDI's at young rider level.
