Juliette Piotrowski, a former German Under 25 team rider, has sold her number one Grand Prix horse Duke Rubin to German national Grand Prix rider Markus Schetter.
The Waiblingen based Schetter is the brother of French former Grand Prix team rider Karen Tebar (née Schetter).
Duke Rubin is an 11-year old Oldenburg gelding by Decamerone out of Granada (by Rubinstein x Feingau x Gazal). He is bred at Stall Troff.
The gelding was trained and competed by Juliette Piotrowski from young horse level to international Grand Prix. She first showed him in 2015 as a 4-year old and made her international show debut with him at small tour level in October 2018 in Le Mans, France.
The pair competed at the 2018 CDI Mechelen, before moving to medium tour level at the 2019 CDI Cappeln. They did their first international Grand Prix at the 2020 CDI Sint-Truiden, followed by Oldenburg and the 2021 CDI Opglabbeek, Verden, and Le Mans.
Duke Rubin sold to Schetter in the winter of 2021 after having done his last national show with Juliette in October 2021 in Troisdorf.
Schetter has been competing at national Grand Prix level in 2021 with Lusitano stallion Dirigivel (by Ramalhete x Latino) and at small tour level with Dont Stop Moving (by Dimaggio x Donnerhall).
