Stella Roth's Echt Stark to Continue under German Junior

Stella-Charlott Roth's small tour ride Echt Stark has been sold to German junior rider Capri-Marie Raum.

Echt Stark is an 11-year old Oldenburg mare by Royal Highness out of Enrica (by Fielmann x Sandro hit x Espri). She is bred at Zuchthof Bauer and was owned by Roth.

Ilona Kress

Originally owned by Katrin Pitriff, Echt Stark made her show debut under Saskia Löwel as a 4-year old in 2015, but in the summer of that year Ilona Kress took over the ride.

Kress and Echt Stark qualified for the 2016 Bundeschampionate but landed 36th place in the 5-year old warm up and withdrew from the consolation finals. They returned a year later as winners of the Frankenthal and Ludwigsburg qualifier. At the 2017 Bundeschampionate they were 8th in the warm-up round and 20th in the consolation finals.

In 2018 they competed in the Nurnberger Burgpokal qualifiers in Darmstadt, Neu-Anspach and Donaueschingen.

In October 2018 Echt Stark moved into the barn of former Piaff Forderpreis winner Stella-Charlott Roth.

She began showing the mare at small tour level in June 2020 in Herbergen and made her international debut at the CDI Herzlake in September 2020, their first and only CDI as a pair. The duo campaigned successfully at national level the past two years, their last start at the CDN Oldenburg in October 2021.

The black mare has now been sold to German junior Capri-Marie Raum.

Raum competed at L-level on pony Inviva (by Champion de Luxe x Handryk) in 2019 and 2020. This year she moved to M-level with Evelyn Haim-Swarovski's former ride, the 12-year old Rhinelander stallion Zirkon (by Zack x Sunny Boy). The pair competed in the Preis der Besten qualifier in Kronberg last weekend. Capri also rides the 14-year old Hanoverian Don Rio (by Don Crusador x Rotspon).

Echt Stark will be a new iron in the fire for Raum. She trains with Constanze Rügheimer and is based in Nürnberg.
