Roland Metz has been appointed the new head of the marketing department at the Oldenburg Horse Center Vechta and he will take up his post on 1 November 2022.
The 49-year old Metz had been working as marketing director for the Holsteiner society for the past four years. He began in the autumn of 2018 and will wave goodbye to his post on 31 October.
Roland Metz is originally from Baden-Wurttemberg.
"Metz has played a leading role in the marketing of riding horses in northern and southern Germany," said Dr. Wolfgang Schulze-Schleppinghoff, President of the Oldenburg Horse Breeding Association. "He learned the horse business from scratch and has shaped the international auction landscape in management positions over the years. He knows the horse business inside out. Metz is known and loved around the world for his proximity to breeders and customers. A win win situation."
