The 5-year old Fabuleux Coeur and the 6-year old Robert Downey Junior were the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held during the Holtkamp Dressage Days on 6 May 2022.
5-YO: Fabuleux Coeur
Nicole Wego-Engelmeyer and Hof Kasselmann's Oldenburg stallion Fabuleux Coeur (by Furst Jazz x Sandro Hit) were the winners of the 5-year old division, which featured a strong group of 22 competitors. The class was judged by Katja Westendarp, Jurgen Uthoff and Peter Mannheims.
Wego and the bay Fabuleux Coeur scored a total of 8.7 with 8.5 for walk and trot, 9 for canter, 8.5 for submission and 9 for general impression.
Two horses tied in second place with an 8.3 total score. Stefanie Ahlert piloted Rüscher-Konermann's Westfalian stallion Baccardi's Best to this result with 9 for walk, 8 for trot, canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression. Lars Schulze Sutthoff also finished in the runner-up spot with his own Westfalian gelding Favorit Unico (by Furst Jazz x Rock Forever). The bay gelding got 8 for walk and canter, and 8.5 for trot, submission and general impression.
6-YO: Robert Downey Junior
Wiebke Hartmann-Stommel and Frederik Vekens' German riding horse Robert Downey Junior reigned supreme with an 8.3 total score. The Real Grandios x Santano stallion received 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 9 for canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
Ann-Christin Wienkamp and Gefion Teichert's Hanoverian gelding First Dancer (by Furstenball x Dancier) went from winning the CDI Troisdorf to placing second in Holtkamp with an 8.1 score. The dark bay gelding got 9 for walk, 8 for trot and canter, 7.5 for submission and 8 for general impression.
