The 5-year olds Mon Coeur SR, Vermeer, Fiducioso and the 6-year olds Venecio and De Chaunac became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held in Hunxe-Bruckhausen on 28 May 2022 and in Ludwigsburg on 22 May 2022.
Hunxe-Bruckhausen: Mon Coeur SR and Venecio
Twelve 5-year old combinations competed in the L-level dressage horse test, which was judged by Petra Herwig, Arndt Wiebus, and Heinrich Plaas-Beisemann. The class was won by Beatrice Hoffrogge aboard the Oldenburg gelding Mon Coeur SR (by Morricone x Londontime) with an 8.2 total score. The gelding earned 8 for walk and canter, 8.5 for trot, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Laura-Sophia Ahland and the Rhinelander bred Dealmaker GD (by Daily Deal x Lissaro van de Helle) were the runners-up with 7.7.
The 6-year old division was dominated by German based Belgian rider Sophie Jamar who placed first and second. Aboard the Hanoverian gelding Venecio (by Veneno x Riccione) she scored 8.0 and qualified for Warendorf. The bay gelding got 7 for walk, 9 for trot, 8 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Jamar was second aboard the Oldenburg gelding Villazon (by Vivaldi x Regazzoni) on 7.8 in total.
Ludwigsburg: Vermeer, Fiducioso and De Chaunac
On 22 May two Bundeschampionate qualification classes were held at the regional show at Monrepos in Ludwigsburg. Eight 5-year olds and eleven 6-year olds competed in those tests.
In the 5-year old division Lukas Maier and the Hanoverian stallion Vermeer (by Vitalis x Sir Savoy), owned by the Marbach state stud, tied in first place with Matthias Rath on Fiducioso (by Foundation x Dancier) on a 7.8 winning score. That result did not suffice to make it to Warendorf as a minimum of 8.0 is required. Vermeer got 7.5 for walk, 8 for trot and canter, 7.5 for submission and 8 for general impression, while Gestut Schafhof's Fiducioso earned 8 for walk and trot, 7.5 for canter and submission and 8 for general impression.
In the 6-year old category Olympian Dorothee Schneider piloted Astrid Neumayer's DSP stallion De Chaunac (by ) to victory with 8.4. The chestnut got 8 for walk, 9 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Sabine Klenk and Ingo Janssen's Hanoverian Mattheo (by Morricone x Dancier) were second with 8.1.
