German Long List for 2022 World Championships Dressage

The German equestrian federation has announced the long list of riders from which the German team will be picked for the 2022 World Championships Dressage in Herning (DEN) on 6 - 11 August 2022. 

The dressage selection committee of the German Olympic Equestrian Committee (DOKR) drafted the long-list after the second and final team selection trial in Aachen, Germany, this weekend. 

The long list includes: 

  • Ingrid Klimke- Franziskus
  • Helen Langehanenberg -  Annabelle
  • Dorothee Schneider- Faustus
  • Frederic Wandres - Duke of Britain FRH und Bluetooth OLD
  • Benjamin Werndl - Famoso OLD und Daily Mirror
  • Isabell Werth - Quantaz

Seven of the eight long-listed horses competed at the CDIO Aachen. Dorothee Schneider, who withdrew Showtime from the 4* tour for fitness reasons, did not ride her 2021 European Championship ride Faustus in Aachen, but showed him at the first selection trial in Balve, and rode him at three CDI's this spring (73.522% in herning, 73.652% in Mannheim, and 73.326% in Munich).
