Jeanna Hogberg to Leave Helgstrand Dressage

After two years on the job at Helgstrand Dressage, Swedish Grand Prix rider Jeanna Hogberg has decided to leave her Danish employer and return to Sweden. 

The 39-year old Hogberg moved from Sweden to Denmark to begin working at Helgstrand Dressage in Vodskov in June 2020 when Andreas began expanding his staff with more riders that have experience training horses to Grand Prix level. 

Under the Helgstrand banner, Hogberg thrived and was selected to represent Sweden at the 2021 European Dressage Championships on Lorenzo and won the gold medal at the 2021 World Young Horse Championships with Hesselhøj Downtown. 

This year Lorenzo was retired from the Grand Prix at the CDI Hering in March, and in April she once competed Badinda Altena in Zakrzow. Hogberg went on to show Christina Olsson's Swedish mare, Astoria, at international Grand Prix level and achieved a s Swedish team spot for the upcoming World Championships in Herning. With Downtown she has been reselected for the 2022 World Young Horse Championships. 

After the 2022 World Young Horse Championships at the beginning of September, Hogberg will leave Helgstrand and return to Sweden. She will move back to her farm near Enköping, where she will collaborate with Gabriella Grewin Bramberg at Herfsta Dressage.

"We of course understand and respect her decision, but we are extremely sad that she is leaving," Helgstrand stated.
