Benice (by Benefit x Stedinger) was named the champion of the 2022 Oldenburg Elite Mare Show which took place in Rastede on 21 July 2022.

Fourteen mares were invited to the "Brilliant ring" where the champion is picked.

The 3-year old Benice (by Benefit out of Uthinga by Stedinger - De Niro - Figaro) is bred by Helmut Kleen and owned by the Dutch couple Jos and Ingrid Blonk.

The outstanding mare, discovered as a foal at the auction in Vechta, scored in total 8.30 in her mare performance test. The wonderful chestnut mare descends from the Uthoba line, which also produced the Grand Prix successful Stand by me OLD/Lisa Müller, Sandro Boy/Lyndal Oatley, AUS, as well as Olympic star Jimmie Choo/Mads Hendeliowitz, SWE. As a special prize of honour, the Sigloo company from Hungary donated a birth detector for this year's winner.

The reserve champion was the 4-year old Sarina (by Finest Selection out of Sanetta by Diamond Hit - Sandro - Wettstreit). She is bred by Otto Langemeyer and her dam Sanetta already produced seven auction candidates for Vechta, among them the licensed stallions Finery (by Fürstenball) and Don Gigolo (by Dimaggio).

The bronze medal went to the Scottish bred 3-year old Shadow Fairy Caledonia (by Foundation out of Sugar Plum Fairy by Sir Donnerhall I - Don Schufro - Friedensherr). This black beauty is bred by Scottish based Reay Campbell and sold as a foal to Gestüt Schafhof, Kronberg. Sire Foundation also stands at Gestüt Schafhof and has been successfully competed at Grand Prix level by Matthias Rath.

The jumping mare champion was Lady Casina (by Casino Berlin out of Lady Lordana by Lordanos - Landor S - Contender). She is bred and owned by Gerd Sosath. The powerful jumping mare received an overall score of 8.48 in her performance test. The OS champion comes from the famous dam line of Heida, which produced the licensed stallion Cador and OS champion mare Lady Cadora OLD.
