Waiting until the FEI deadline of 25 July 2022 to announce its team, the French Equestrian Federation is the last to announce its team for the 2022 World Championships Dressage in Herning on 6 - 11 August 2022.

French national selector Jean Morel made his final pick in riders for the team.

"This season the combinations were particularly present at international shows," said Morel. "This allowed us to observe a plethora of horses to come to this selection. We have a young team with three new horses and riders for whom this is their first championship. Morgan Barbançon Mestre is the leader of the group and already has the experience of big championships."

Morel continued, "our goals are truly to solidify the combinations and give them experience in regards to the Olympic Games 2024 in Paris, by going to these championships, but also for international shows to come."

Representing France are:

  • Morgan Barbançon Mestre on Sir Donnerhall II, owned by the rider
    Groom : Salomé Charles-Mangeon
  • Pauline Basquin on Sertorius de Rima Z, owned by l’Institut français du cheval et de l’équitation
    Groom : Laura Biemon
  • Antoine Nowakowski on Quater Girl, owned by the rider
    Groom : Djessy Petitjean
  • Corentin Pottier on Gotilas, owned by Hervé Pottier
