Dutch para dressage rider Rixt van der Horst has received the ride on a second iron in the fire on the road to the Paris Paralympics in 2024.
Sponsor Egbert van Hes has acquired the 11-year old Oldenburg mare Donauinsel GV (by San Francisco OLD out of Die Bunte (by Diamond Hit x Sambuca B). She is bred at Gestüt Vorwerk.
The liver chestnut mare was competed in Germany by Yvonne kläne, Melanie Tewes, Laura Strobel and Antonia Witte between 2016 and 2022.
Rixt already rides the 10-year old Westfalian mare Akuna Matata (by Arpeggio x Lanciano) for Van Hes.
