The 5-year old Vangelis and the 6-year old Escolar's Eljano became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at Riding Sport Center Franken in Ansbach on 6 - 7 May 2023.
5-YO Vangelis
Thirteen pairs contested the L-level dressage horse test which was judged by Ina-Katrin Schmid, Michael Hubrich, and Hermann de Reuver.
Gestut Birkhof's assistant rider Nicola Haug topped the board with the DSP bred stallion Vangelis (by Vitalis x Sandro Hit) on a score of 8.4 points. The stallion, bred by Steffen Jahn, scored 8 for walk, canter and submission and 9 for trot and general impression.
Johanna Wadenspanner landed second place aboard Thomas and Lisa Müller's Oldenburg stallion Bowmore (by Bordeaux x Furst Piccolo) with 8.3 points. The liver chestnut got 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot and canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
6-YO: Escolar's Eljano
The M-level dressage horse test in Ansbach brought nine combinations afoot and Tatjana Schneider bested them all aboard Leonhard Schliersmaier's Westfalian gelding Escolar's Eljano (by Escolar x Furst Fugger). They pair scored a total of 8.3 points with 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot, canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
Nicole Grosch was on their heels with Lisa Herweck's Oldenburg gelding Sentenario (by Sir Heinrich x Rouletto). They scored 8.2 in total with 8.5 for walk, 8 for trot, canter, and submission and 8.5 for general impression.
