The 5-year old Secret's Sensation and the 6-year old Vermeer became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualifier held at the regional show in Aulendorf, Baden Wurttemberg, on 28 May 2023.
5-YO: Secret's Sensation
Ten combinations competed in the L-level dressage horse test for 5-year olds.
Carina Harnisch and Secret's Sensation (by Secret x Furst Grandios) topped the board on a winning score of 8.1 points. The DSP bred chestnut gelding earned 8 for walk and trot, 8.5 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression from judges Bernd Reichle, Sabine Daßler; and Christoph Niemann.
The runner-up was former European Junior/Young Rider team member Jana Schrödter aboard the Wurttemberger mare Sally (by Secret x Dancing World). They scored 7.5 for walk, 8 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression to average 8.0 points. She tied in second place with Lisa Casper aboard Sir Copperfield (by Secret x Belantis) , who also got 8.0. This black gelding put on the board 7.5 for walk, 8 for trot and canter, 8.5 for submission and 8 for general impression.
6-YO: Vermeer
Only five pairs lined up for the M-level test for 6-year olds.
The winner was Lukas Maier aboard the Hanoverian stallion Vermeer (by Vitalis x Sir Savoy) with 8.4 points. Judges Niemann and Dassler were joined by Holger Martin and they rewarded Vermeer with 8 for walk, and 8.5 for trot, canter, submission and general impression.
Kristina Olson and the DSP registered Benderry (by Benicio x Londonderry) were second with 8.2. This chestnut gelding got 8 for walk and trot, 8.5 for canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
