The 5-year old Füchtel's High Light and the 6-year old Freenet became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualifier held at Vechtehof in Haftenkamp on 20 May 2023.
5-YO: Füchtel's High Light
Judges Klaus Storbeck, Peter Mannheims, and Bernhardt Dust did the sorting in the L-level dressage horse test for 5-year olds. With just seven combinations entered and only one horse earning a score high enough for a ticket to Warendorf, the pickings were rather slim.
Patricia Seddig won the class with an 8.1 score aboard Clemens von Merveldt's Füchtels High Light, an Oldenburg mare by Floriscount x Damon Hill. The liver chestnut got 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot and canter, 7.5 for submission and 8 for general impression. Show organizers Sabine Egbers placed second on her own Oldenburg gelding Dairy Gold (by De Niro Gold x Stedinger) with 7.5. points.
6-YO: Freenet
Eight pairs presented themselves in front of the same judging panel for the M-level dressage horse test and German squad rider Carina Scholz topped the board with 8.2 points. Riding her own Hanoverian stallion Freenet (by Furstenball x Londonderry), she received 8.5 for walk, 8 for trot and canter, 8.5 for submission and 8 for general impression.
Ann-Christin Wienkamp was the runner-up aboard von Merveldt's Füchtel's To Limit (by Top Gear x Donnerschwee) with 8.1. This chestnut gelding for 8.5 for walk and canter, 8 for trot, 7.5 for submission and 8 for general impression.
