Austria
The Austrian Equestrian Federation (OEPS) has announced the team that will represent Austria at the 2023 European Young Riders and Under 25 Championships in Pilisjaszfalu, Hungary, on 11 - 16 July 2023.
Based on the performances of the riders at the two mandatory selection trials - the CDI Gossendorf and the CDI Achleiten - the board of OEPS was able to select the following team.
Young Riders
- Felicita Simoncic on Ivar, a 10-year old KWPN gelding by Ampere x Olivia, owned by Michael Simoncic
- Leon Aschauer on Formidable, a 14-year old Hanoverian by Furst Nymphenburg x Lauries Crusador xx, originally named Fabuleux 11 and owned by the rider
- Felix Artner on Divine Etincelle, a 14-year old Hanoverian by Desperados x A Junge Prince, owned by Auheim/Pengg
- Anna-Katharina Jahn on Feliciano, a 15-year old Hanoverian by Fidertanz x De Niro, originally named Follo Rivers and owned by Auheim/Pengg
The first reserve is Corinna Gebhard (Bellagio), the second reserve is Isabella John (Heldgard’s Accoya).
Under 25
- Jonas Frick on Juno, a 16-year old Hanoverian by Hotline x Weltmeyer, owned by the rider
- Sophie Marlene Francz on Der Romantiker, a 15-year old Hanoverian by Don Romantic x De Niro, owned by the rider
- Fiona Spranz on Santiago, a 12-year old NRPS by Spielberg x Houston, owned by the rider
- Lukas Fuchs-Benes on Gogogachetto Chippendale, a 10-year old by Millennium x Rubin Royal, owned by the rider
