Dave Thind Method, a globally recognized leader in online seat-training and wellness tools for riders, is thrilled to announce the launch of their exciting new offering, the DTM Skeletal Strength Free Mini-Course.
This free mini-course aims to provide riders of all ages and levels with valuable insights and techniques to enhance their riding experience and overall well-being.
The Feldenkrais Method®, potentially life changing for riders?
Check out what celebrated trainer Felicitas von Neumann-Cosel stated about the method: “The Feldenkrais Method has not only helped me out of chronic pain but improved my riding tremendously through reducing tension and increasing suppleness, while highly increasing my body awareness and refining my aids!”
The MD based international trainer is known for having one of the best seats in the world. In fact, she made a new record by scoring a perfect dressage score during her German Trainer certification, approximately 30 years ago.
“The Feldenkrais Method is not just an investment in your riding but in how you will feel and move for the rest of your life! The method helped me get out of chronic pain, tension and anxiety, so I can truly enjoy the horses," added an enthusiastic von Neumann-Cosel.
The free mini-course serves as an intro to DTM Skeletal Strength, a comprehensive on-demand video series that focuses on the crucial aspects of bone health, stability, and strength for riders. To celebrate the release of this transformative series, Dave Thind Method is offering a complimentary mini-course to allow more riders to experience the benefits firsthand.
DTM’s mini-course covers a wide range of topics to improve riders' skills and physical condition. Participants will first listen in on a brief classical riding discussion, followed by Feldenkrais Method® based body awareness exercises. These exercises are designed to promote ‘positive-tension’, suppleness, coordination, powerful skeletal organization, and bone-strengthening.
With a duration of 60 minutes, the mini-course offers easy-to-follow, subtle movements that enhance spinal alignment, improve bone density, and refine riding skills through enhanced "feel" and application of aids. “I hope you will enjoy the course and be sure to share it with anyone you think it may help,” stated course creator Dave Thind who truly believes this work can help every rider.
Celebrity Guest JJ Tate, of Team Tate Academy
Another renowned dressage trainer, JJ Tate, also known for her extremely correct and beautiful seat, as well as her dedication to the sport and sharing her knowledge, makes a special appearance during this free Dave Thind Method Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement® class. Both Tate and von Neumann-Cosel are among several celebrity trainers who have collaborated with Thind.
What to expect during the free course
"During this full one-hour complimentary course, you'll uncover valuable insights into how we absorb force through the body while riding," said Dave Thind, the mastermind behind the Dave Thind Method. "Our goal is for you to feel great after completing this class – experiencing a sense of ease and lightness that our students often comment on. Age-related aches, stiffness, and discomfort can hinder our passion for dressage, but with DTM, we draw the line and empower riders to overcome these challenges."
The free mini-course offers riders a chance to:
- Experience simple and subtle movements designed to strengthen the spine and bones, seamlessly blending them into daily routines.
- Learn exercises to handle concussive forces and effectively protect the body's bones.
- Feel a wave of ease and lightness in posture, both in and out of the saddle, free from tension and stiffness.
- Build cushioning for the spine, allowing for decompression and elongation, boosting confidence in and out of the saddle.
- Unlock a new level of motion and flexibility, gaining more control over the body and experiencing a youthful movement reset.
- Enhance body awareness to naturally find flowing movement, better connecting with the horse and improving overall riding skills.
As we age, it is natural to experience a loss of height, with studies indicating that age-related shrinking can begin as early as 30 years old. However, with the Dave Thind Method's free mini-course, riders can reclaim their height and maintain a strong, graceful presence in the saddle.
DTM Skeletal Strength
This free session serves as an introduction to the full DTM Skeletal Strength course, which delves deeper into restoring the entire skeletal system to its intended youthful uprightness and flexibility. The movement lessons in the full course promote better riding, heightened confidence, improved bone density, and serve as a personal Fountain of Youth for riders worldwide.
American Team rider Charlotte Jorst who participated as a student in the live version of DTM Skeletal Strength, encourages fellow riders to look after their bones. The elegant rider explained that prior to DTM, she constantly had to work hard to sit up straight in her riding and was unknowingly working against her own body. She also revealed that prior to weekly practice of DTM, Jorst could not alleviate pain or discomfort on her own through the stretching exercises she was previously using.
“DTM Feldenkrais has done wonders for me. It feels like it does nothing, but it’s created an awareness of what I do, the muscles I use and the impact it has on a horse. It’s amazing.”
