German international Grand Prix rider Susanne Seltzner has been spending the last few days in the hospital due to an operation to her hand, injured in a barn accident.
Leadrope
The 55-year old Seltzner (née Wilhelm) hand got caught in the leadrope when she put her horse Aquarel out into the walker and he spooked.
Her hand was immediately swollen and she went to the emergency room at the Lucas hospital in Neuss (GER) for a diagnosis. It turned out that the ligaments of her right middle finger were torn and she had to be operated on.
Susanne will be sidelined for two months for her hand to heal properly.
