Young American Grand Prix rider Natalie Pai is expanding her string of FEI horses with a new buy, Grand Prix horse Don Divone.

Don Divone is a 13-year old Oldenburg by Der Designer out of Levatine (by Don Davidoff x Sandro Hit x Landadel).

German Born

The dark bay gelding is bred by Paul Schockemöhle at Gestut Lewitz.

The horse descends from a successful dam line with grand dam Levantina having produced several offspring successful in sport, such as Fabuleux Coeur OLD (Adam Steffens), Furst Levantino (Marlene Sieverding), Fearless (Ferdinand Csaki), and Flash Hit (Matthias Rath).

Elizabeth Crocker, an American living in England, acquired Dee Dee from Paul Schockemohle in 2013 after she, Dennis Callin and David Taylor were scouting for horses. Both Callin and Taylor trained the horse. David competed him in January 2014 after which he was offered for sale on Eurodressage.

Haskins Gray, who was the 2003 North American Young Riders Champion on Fregat,  first competed Don Divone as a 10-year old in December 2020 at Grand Prix level and used 2021 to gain mileage and experience.

Don Divino was offered for sale this spring and found a new owner a few weeks ago in Natalie Pai.

"Even though it is bittersweet to end this chapter with my best buddy; we could not of dreamt up a better situation for our special horse," a pregnant Haskins Grey state. "It’s an honor to see Dee Dee going into one of the most loving and caring homes and best dressage programs in the world. We can not wait to see you two shine in the ring together and cheer for you at the sidelines. From the bottom of our hearts, we wish you nothing but the absolute best in this new journey."

The 26-year old Natalie Pai will now continue the horse's sport career under the supervision of her trainer Adrienne Lyle. Pai recently bought Foundator in Europe, while in March 2022 she purchased the international Grand Prix horse Mister-C.
