The Dressage Foundation (TDF) the announce that Ben Ebeling (FL) is the recipient of the TDF Patsy Albers Award presented at Dressage at Devon.

TDF’s Patsy Albers Award was expanded in 2023 to not only provide a $2,500 award at the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions but also at Dressage at Devon. The Patsy Albers Award is given to the highest placing rider at these competitions (preference to Grand Prix) who previously competed for the U.S. at a North American Youth Championship.

Ben and his horse, Indeed, a 2008 Danish Warmblood owned by Vantage Equestrian Group, received the highest score in the FEI World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle at Devon with a 77.325 percent.

Ben said, “I’m honored to receive TDF’s Patsy Albers Award. It has been an amazing and rewarding journey to go through the Junior and Young Rider divisions and now compete at Grand Prix. I’m blessed to have a partner like Indeed who has continued to improve and trust the Grand Prix training. I’m forever grateful to my coaches and owners for trusting me with her development.”

Patsy Albers was a longtime supporter and Chef d'Equipe of the North American Youth Championship Region 1 team. She was also very involved at the prestigious Dressage at Devon, where she served for many years as the FEI Event Director. Her expertise extended into management, officiating, and volunteering, for which she was honored multiple times. This award was established at TDF by Patsy’s friends and colleagues when she passed away in 2012.
