Danish horse dealer Andreas Helgstrand held his second clearance sale in the shape of an "autumn auction" of under saddle dressage horses on 29 October 2023.
The first part concluded on 8 October with modest prices, the second autumn achieved a slightly higher average price. The collection featured horses between the ages of 4 and 10 and the low prices from the first part triggered buyers to catch a deal in this auction.
The top price was 40,000 euro which was paid for two horses: the 9-year old Jovany (by Vivaldi x Gribaldi) got 59 bids and moves to Germany, the 4-year old Vivus (by Vitalis x Zack) got one bid and stays in Denmark.
Spanish clients made their move in this auction and bought the 10-year old gelding Sir Europe (by Sir Donnerhall x Welt Hit II) for 35,000 euro. He is a former licensed premium stallion. Also going to Spain is the 4-year old Vitello (by Vitalis x Sir Donnerhall) for 8,500 euro.
A German bought Rossesse VH (by Revolution x Dalwhinnie) for 25,500 euro, a Dane invested 19,000 euro into Bellator von Rosing (by Revolution x Zack).
Funkstar (by Foundation x Sir Donnerhall) goes to Ireland for 24,000 euro. The Westfalian bred 6-year old Bozniro (by Bossanova x De Niro) to Sweden for 16,500 euro, Vicksburg (by Vitalis x Sandro Hit) to Hungary for 16,000 euro. The latter sold at the first Autumn Auction but the buyer did not transfer the amount so the horse was up for auction again.
Fleur de Fontaine (by For Emotion x Chagall D&R) found a new owner in Sweden for 16,000 euro, Sanciro (by Sezuan x Dancier) goes to France for 12,500 euro.
The Dutch bred Ocean X (by Expression x Uphill) stays in Denmark for 15,500 euro. He sold four years ago at the 2019 Maren-Kessel foal auction for 36,000 euro.
