The German based Norwegian Grand Prix rider Isabel Freese has received the ride on the 2023 Bundeschampion Barbor BS.

Barbor BS is a 3-year old Hanoverian mare by Bonds out of Le Pen (by Livaldon x Desperados x Wolkentanz II). She is bred by Bernhard Sieverding

The duo made its show debut in June 2023 at a local show in Hamm-Rhynern and from there went to the 2023 Hanoverian Young Horse Championships in Verden, where they won gold and the title.

This made them qualify for the 2023 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf, where they continued their winning streak and claimed gold again. Barbor BS scored 9.1 in the finals with 9.5 for trot, 10.0 for canter, 8.5 for walk, 9.5 for rideability, and 8.0 for exterior.

Barbor BS has now been sold to Maik Kanitzky of Gestut Heidehof. He decided to put the horse in training with Isabel Freese (née Bache) in Mühlen, Germany. She trains with Holga Finken.

"She's only been here for less than three weeks," Isabell told Eurodressage. "She's a great horse and I'm super happy. I hope we can grow together. She already proven herself at the Bundeschampionate. I look forward to a future with her."

The long-term dream of the owner and rider is for the mare to compete at the 2025 World Young Horse Championships.
