Lone Bang's WCYH Finalist Poseidon Majlund Sold to Danish Junior Rider

Lone Bang Zindorff has sold her World Young Horse Championship finalist Poseidon Majlund to a Danish junior rider. The 8-year old gelding will continue his sport career under Theresa Rosenkilde.

Poseidon Majlund is a Danish warmblood by Tailormade Temptation out of Frydendal's Celina (by Solos Landtinus x Lord Cantus). He is bred at Stutteri Majlund.

Lone scouted Poseidon as a foal and reared him at her farm.

He was first competed in June 2019 by Thilde Alsing and in 2020 Lotte Wiuff Straarup put mileage on the youngsters at national level in Denmark. He competed in the qualifiers for the Danish young horse championships, but did not make it to the championship.

In 2022 Lone Bang took place in the saddle and was selected to represent Danish warmblood at the World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo. They were 13th in the 7-year old warm-up round but then got a spot into the finals by finishing third in the consolation class. In the Finals they were 9th. One month later Lone finished 7th in the 7-year old finals of the 2022 Danish Young Horse Championships.

Lone showed Poseidon once this year in the Prix St Georges (73.07% - 3rd) at the national show in Harlev in June.

Yesterday Bang announced the sale of Poseidon to Danish junior rider Theresa Rosenkilde.

"Throughout the last 8 years Poseidon has been with us and grown up to become a mature lovely gentleman," said Lone. "Our journey has been unforgettable. It has been such a pleasure educating this super talented horse. But - it is also a huge honour to sell him not only to the sweetest family but also a really talented rider."

The 17-year old Theresa made her international show debut in 2022 on Blue Hors Zwobber. She has competed him through 2023 and won team silver at the 2023 European Junior Riders Championships in Kronberg. They were 16th in the individual test.
