The Danish equestrian federation has appointed Jeannett Andreasen as the new Danish youth team captain for the junior and young riders.
Andreasen succeeds Janne Møller Jensen who has stepped down from the position.
Jeannett will pick up the post as of 1 January 2024 and will work alongside Kenneth Damgaard, who is the new youth team trainer.
"From childhood, Jeannett has had horses and equestrian sport close in her life, first as a dressage rider and for the last 20 years she has been breeding warmblood horses together with her family. Dressage is what Jeannett is passionate about, and she is looking forward to putting her skills to use," the Danish federation posted. "Jeannett has an education as a master coach specializing in stress, management and teams - and also a good deal of work experience at management level."
Andreasen quoted, "you can expect me to be dedicated. I will work closely with the athletes, their teams and other stakeholders with the goal of creating an environment that promotes both the sporting and the personal. Together we are stronger. I want to help ensure that training and planning is carried out with respect for the horses' welfare and the rider's education, and not least that the talent development is based on a transparent collaboration with the riders' personal trainers and family."
