The 2024 Nordic Baltic Championships have found a new location in Denmark after the event could no longer be staged at Andreas Helgstrand's Uggerhalne riding club across the street from his sales yard in Vodskov.
As the Danish Equestrian Federation ended its collaboration with Helgstrand Event, at least for 2024, the Danish NF had to go in search of a new venue and show organizer.
"After many exciting dialogues with potential event organisers, the final agreements have been reached with the respective Hovgaard Riding Club by Else Rohmann and Hjallerup Riding Club by Line Dahl Larsen and Anders Vestergaard Carlsen," DRF posted. "This means that the Nordic Championships 2024 will be held at two different venues."
The 2024 Nordic Baltic Championships will take place at:
- Hovgaard Riding Club in Skårup, Fyn (DEN) for dressage and paradressage in week 26
- Hjallerup Riding Club in Hjallerup, Jutland (DEN) for jumping and vaulting in week 26
Anne-Mette Binder, DRF's elite sport chef, is delighted: "Hovgaard Riding club is well-known as fantastic and hospitable organizer of events at all levels including the multi-round pony dressage championships. So even though it is the first time the club is trying its hand at an international championship, it is done on the basis of lots of experience and a dedicated and committed group of volunteers. The Rohmann family itself has experience from participating in both Nordic and European championships, as Karoline Rohmann has represented Denmark in all age categories from pony up to U25. It will certainly be beneficial for the preparations and implementation. They simply know what is expected and what is needed to succeed in the task."
