The 5-year old Secret Spot, the 6-year old Simsala D, and the 7-year old Rod Laver were the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the show in Bargstedt on 14 - 16 June 2024.
In the 5-year old division, which featured 14 combinations, Kira Goerens-Ripphoff topped the board with Ina Schneidewindt-Krause's Hanoverian gelding Secret Spot (by Secret x Quaterback). The pair received 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for trot and canter and 8 for submission and general impression to total a winning 8.1 score. Swedish Felicia Olofsson and Andreas Helgstrand's Oldenburg stallion Farino (by Furst Toto x Furst Romancier) were second with 8.0.
In the 6-year old class there were only five pairs. Junior rider Carolina Miesner won the class on her own DSP mare Simsala D (by Secret x For Romance) with 8.06 points. The dark bay mare got 8 for walk and trot, 8.5 for canter, 7.8 for submission and 8 for general impression. She edged out Sophie Ludewig on Nancy Kruse's Hanoverian gelding Furst Fiete (by Furst Romancier x Londonderry) who was only a fraction behind with 8.02 points.
Eight pairs contested the S-level class for 7-year olds and Esther Maruhn grabbed the trophy aboard the Hanoverian stallion Rod Laver (by Rock Forever x Fidertanz). She scored 79.231% and left the competition far behind her. French Kim Brüning was second on Va'Pensiero (by Vitalis x Furstenball) with 72.796%
