It’s no coincidence that top riders require top footing not only at shows, but also at their home yards. Many athletes frequently post their freshly made arenas and boast about the quality of their footing components, as well as the machinery they use in order to maintain it in healthy condition.

Why is good arena ground-quality so important?

  • Provides stability and traction
  • Lessens joint concussion and absorbs shock
  • Prevents injuries of joints, ligaments and muscles

But aside from choosing the right “ingredients” for your footing, the other half of a successful arena is the maintenance part.

Top Manufacturer Working With High Performance Athletes

BM Horse has made its name as a top manufacturer in the arena grader industry and specializes in innovative, high-quality stable equipment that makes yard maintenance more efficient.

BM Horse arena graders
The Poland-based manufacturing company founded by Anna Tyrkiel, an international dressage rider and yard owner, has supported top olympians and rising stars alike, such as Simone Pearce, Mateusz Kiempa, Matt Harnacke and Sandra Sysojeva among others.

Having given their arena grader portfolio a recent face lift, BM Horse now has even better propositions for a variety of footings and stables - from home yards, to big sports and breeding studs, such as Gestuet Sprehe - an esteemed customer of the company.

Industry Leader

The newest model is the OLYMPIC PRO grader, which is dedicated for pure quartz sand or fiber/textile-quartz blend arenas. This particular grader allows for ideal drag and grooming. Its construction includes a built-in swiveling mechanism, hydraulic lifting, two rows of 21 10mm springs positioned at an angle, shock absorbers, a leveling bar, side scraper and a mesh roller to break clods and fluff the footing. Despite its rich features, it’s easy to use and handle. If you operate a big yard and use a variety of materials within your arenas, the Olympic Pro grader is your jack of all trades.

For Frequent Riders

Equus Profi with the rubber roller
The EQUUS PROFI with RUBBER ROLLER grader is a top-performer at a slightly lower price-point than the Olympic Pro. It’s dedicated for quartz, quartz hybrid and GeoTex arenas and will handle loose, muddy grounds very well. Thanks to the heavy rubber roller, keeping more challenging footing in a dense shape will be an easy task for any yard owner. Its construction consists of 2 rows of raking tines, a leveling board, side scraper, the heavy rubber roller and manual working depth control.

The Multi-Tasker

BM’s R1 Grader handles sand, shavings, clay and their blends. It’s highly versatile in terms of the arena substrates it can be employed for and also performs a variety of tasks with finesse, such as surface leveling, grading, fluffing and aeration. The regulated S-tines can be adjusted for fluffing intensity and the movable rake tines allow for manual working depth setting. The R1 will also be ideal for leveling field roads and dirt tracks, as well as meadows and pastures.

Economy Class

Diego grader
The DIEGO grader is a mighty piece of equipment for an economy price. Use it for quartz-textile blends. The front rakes work uneven ground, the leveling board evens it out, while the tillage roller presses down and evenly distributes the fibers.

Adaptability

In each of BM Horse’s arena graders, you can easily adjust the height of the roller, as well as that of the leveling boards and tines. They all have three-point CAT 1, 2 linkage and can be easily used with additional swiveling adapters for use with not only tractors, but also quads or SUVs.

If you’re managing a high-performance yard and aim to provide top training and showing conditions for your horses and athletes, consider upgrading your equipment to BM Horse and join the 5* equestrian club, without ever compromising on quality or price.
