Norwegian Horses Selected for the 2024 World Young Horse Championships

The Norwegian Equestrian Federation has announced the horse-and-rider combinations that will represent Norway at the 2024 World Championships for young dressage horses.

The WCYH take place in Ermelo, The Netherlands on 3 - 8 September 2024.

Based on the size of its national breeding association, Norway is eligible to send 1 horse per age division to Ermelo. 

The selected horses are:

5-year old

  • Lumiere Unik (DWB, by Franklin x Don Romantic) - Rider: Caroline Hansen  
    Breeder & Owner: Morten Skov 

Originally Burn (by Bernay x Feedback) under Sami Anttoni Vouristo was selected as reserve pair, but he declined to be reserve. Burn is bred by Henk van Wijilick and owned by Andresen Dressage 

6-year old

  • JJ Spencer (DWB, by Secret x  Deemster) - rider: Jessica Lynn Thomson
    Breeder: JJ Horses - Owner: Ole Jørgen Jørgentvedt
    •  Reserve: B`Fair (by Belamigo x Fürstenball ) - rider:  Ida Hofman-Bang
      Breeder: Kjersti Moen Fagerheim - Owner: Beate Hausken, Kjersti Moen Fagerheim

7-year old 

  • My Vitality (KWPN; by Vivaldi x D-Day) - rider: Cathrine Rasmussen
    Breeder: Willeke Bos - Owner: Cathrine Rasmussen
