Dutch Olympian Han Peter Minderhoud and 7-year old  My Toto will not be defending their World  Champion's title in Ermelo at the 2024 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo.

The 2024 WCYH are scheduled to take place at the KWPN headquarters on 4 - 8 September 2024.

My Toto is a KWPN gelding by Toto Jr. out of Erlanda (by Voice x Ferro). He is bred by Aat Both, former chair of the organisation that hosts the WCYH in Ermelo.

In 2023 Hans Peter Minderhoud won the 6-year old finals on the black on a score of 8.86 points. The pair was 17th in the preliminary round and had to ride the consolation class to make it to the finals. They won the consolation with 87.6 and then grabbed the title on a rainy Sunday afternoon that became quite eventful with a power outage blacking out the venue.

My Toto is owned by Aat Both, his wife Lida Both-van Loef and Miga horses BV, the company behind Minderhoud/Gal.

The pair was strikingly absent for this year's Dutch team selection trials, which started three months ago in May. Eurodressage contacted owner Lida Both about My Toto's absence after which a statement was posted on the rider's social media account.

"This year My Toto couldn’t do the qualifications because he had a small injury, which needed some time to heal," it read.

Minderhoud will be competing on the Dutch team in Ermelo with the 7-year old Massimo (by Toto Jr x Bretton Woods).
